Introduction: Albinism, difference and the philosophical turn

This is the Introduction to this book, African Philosophy and the Otherness of Albinism: White Skin, Black Race. Being a philosophical work on albinism, this introduction traces the interest of philosophy in albinism to the rising interest of philosophers, including the author, in questions of difference in general and disability in particular. This Introduction provides reasons for a much needed philosophical turn in the discourse of albinism in Africa.
