ABSTRACT
Managing Complexity, Earth Systems and Strategies for the Future introduces and discusses systems and complexity on the basis of global challenges. The introduction sets the stage through introducing the terms system and complexity and highlighting the approach used throughout the book. The book’s themes are presented as well as historical remarks related to systems thinking and its evolution. The more practical and problem-oriented approach applied in Managing Complexity is explained.
