ABSTRACT

A key aspect of the social dimension patterns management process within organizations is the measurement and disclosure of important metrics and information 1 . The number of firms that have developed measurement processes to analyse, drive and communicate sustainability efforts has significantly increased in the last few years. This process has been fostered worldwide especially by the introduction of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) introduced as part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which aim to wipe out extreme poverty, fight inequality, and tackle climate change. More specifically, an operative guide for companies 2 , underlines five steps for companies to maximize their contribution to the global goals: understanding the SDGs, goals defining priorities, setting, then integrating, reporting and communicating on them.
