ABSTRACT
Administration and political acumen of women seems to be deliberately ignored by literary sources. Inscriptional sources are full of accomplishments of female administrators. If ever they were given the chance to rule, what were their approaches and contribution towards socio-economic and political developments? Various rules of succession have been commented upon as many females survived as administrators at various levels in different capacities. The concepts of after-war treatment, untouchability and prostitution has been taken into the consideration.
