ABSTRACT
This Introduction presents the book’s aims and themes. It describes the research questions guiding the research and provides explanation of the reasons why it is important to investigate food blogs today. It also includes a brief overview of the state of the art on the language of food in more general terms. In addition, this Introduction contains a preliminary presentation of the theoretical-methodological approaches used, the reasons behind the choice of these specific approaches and how they are all reciprocally connected as well as how they are connected to the development of the research questions. Some information about the reasons why the book can be considered innovative is also provided. The Introduction ends with brief synopses for each of the chapters that compose the book.
