ABSTRACT

At the moment, to alter your mix you have to make your changes in FMOD, Save and Build the Banks, before re-launching the game in Unity. This is awkward and inconvenient – but, fortunately, there’s a solution to this – Live Update.

In this chapter, we’ll see how to configure Unity and FMOD to allow for live mixing of the audio – even if the applications are running on different computers.

We’ll also take a quick look at the FMOD Loudness Meter, and discuss how Loudness Standards are likely to affect video games.
