ABSTRACT
This book is the product of a love affair. Not with India but with an Indian. She was first a colleague, later girlfriend, then fiancée, and since the millennium, my wife. She is Munni. Professionally she’s a partner in two businesses that we’ve built together over the past decade. She’s the mother to our two children. Ethnically half Indian, they were born into the melting pot of early 21st-century gentrification in the Borough of Hackney in London’s East End.
