ABSTRACT

Service innovation of late has become a matter of grave concern, and it involves not a single industry but has taken over a larger group. Therefore, service innovation has begun to occur more often in various contextual forms. The forms include both radical, a new range of services, or incremental, which are bringing enhanced improvements to existing range of services. Organizational innovation is also interrelated with service innovation, though in the process of organizational innovation, there are several types of innovative changes taking place within the organizational structure. These innovative changes are not only restricted to changes brought about in procedures. The study of services innovation has been progressively and genuinely relative to the presence of innovation systems and closely connected networks. Service innovation is being seen as a major factor in the development of business. Service innovation is a continuously evolving concept, which is being studied within the ambit of service management research.
