ABSTRACT
Chapter 9 explores the challenges of life after prison, preparation for release, and the circumstances that are most conducive to a successful reintegration back into the community upon release. This chapter presents a case description of three unique trajectories: a successful release, a release that has led to a return to prison, and the distinctive reintegration experience of an individual belonging to a socially marginalized group.
