ABSTRACT
The firm was established in 1907 by Alfred van Cleef and the brothers Charles and Julien Arpels, who opened a shop in the Place Vendôme in Paris. Other family members were involved with the business which specialized in jewellery for a wealthy and stylish clientele. The firm continues under family ownership.
