ABSTRACT

Chapter 7 examines the teachers’ reflections on the implications of the recent changes in English for their teaching models in the classroom. The first section focuses on their preference for NS models in their teaching practices while the second section discusses the shortcomings of these models for catering to the need of raising students’ awareness of the diversity of English presented in the third section. The last section analyses the participants’ discussions about the appropriate stages for integrating different varieties of English into their teaching.
