ABSTRACT

Close relations exist between the Creator and mankind. Nature has beauties which seem to have been fashioned for the sake of the sheer gladness they cause, and for no other reason. Revelation is the communication of God's will to man. The Divine rectitude is a theme upon which the Biblical writers are never tired of dwelling. The Divine rewards and punishments are the logical sequel to the Divine judgment. The idea of God's justice, incorruptible, certain, redemptive, is one full of comfort and encouragement for every good man. Instead of seeking to escape the Divine punishments, the wise man will welcome them. He will welcome them as a witness to God's moral government of the world, and as the necessary condition of his own moral salvation.
