ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the theory of ‘intersectionality’, while reviewing its origins as well as some seminal literature both past and current. As in the previous chapter, the author also explores how she came to engage with intersectionality in terms of her academic journey and reviews how she has in the past applied the theory to work on climate change and sustainability. Additionally, this chapter again shows how theories can shape praxis, while further reaffirming that praxis is ever in the moment and therefore remains unstable and variable and can also shape theory.
