ABSTRACT

The significant multi-level challenges of co-creation processes on the individual, the group, and the shared issue level have not yet allowed the development of a superpower measuring tool. Assessing the learning journey across the process can be achieved by identifying core competencies involved in the various process steps and enabling various stakeholders to self-assess themselves at any point in time. Building on the perspectives and the related co-creation event requires the competency of understanding conditions, functioning, and dynamics of change processes, the capacity to develop creative ideas and the ability to be visionary in finding solutions for society’s problems. Facilitating co-creation events that seek to build on hearing the various issue-related perspectives is enhanced with competencies such as understanding dilemmas, initiating and moderating a dialogue, and providing a trans-generational perspective. When co-creation takes place in real life, there is a significant danger for ignoring the process and paying too much attention on the end result and output of the process.
