ABSTRACT

Experts from abroad were invited to participate both from a process perspective and to help untangle a complex local issue that stakeholders recognized was stuck. A challenge of group dynamics relates also to the fact that the members of group processes are not stable, some people may be a part of the process early on, others may join mid-way, some may leave along the way. The most common challenges that we can attribute to the group level of such processes concerns the strength polarity of those seeking Efficacy at all cost and those wishing to ensure that resources are adequately shared so that everybody can contribute and also benefit from the project. The strength polarities are all elements that create the enabling superpowers so that groups of people and organizations of all kind can truly work together and advance toward the collective solution of a problem a multi-stakeholder group wishes to solve.
