ABSTRACT
This chapter expands upon the brief discussion of intellectual property contained in Chapter 8. The chapter first addresses regulation of GMOs and the jurisdictions of the various federal agencies that regulate them. Regulation of labeling under the 2016 National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard is discussed along with the limitations that it places on state and local regulation of labeling.
