ABSTRACT

In Chapter 6, the author offers his overall conclusions on the wide range of topics examined by the book. He recommends a number of statutory reforms and enactments which would both enhance the protection of the legal rights of photographers and photograph publishers in their copyrighted works and facilitate their enforcement of such rights. The author makes a number of recommendations which would offer greater legal protection to the personal rights of others, such as the right to privacy and the right not to be harassed. In relation to matters concerning the state’s duty to protect public order, the security and defence of the state and the administration of justice, the author recommends amendments to a number of existing statutory provisions, in so far as they concern photographers and photograph publishers, and the enactment of new provisions.
