ABSTRACT

The woodland floor environment is best set up before the students enter. This chapter provides information on equipment needed and instructions for creating the woodland floor environment. It discusses different sensory channels used in the woodland floor environment, as well as ways to make use of the woodland floor environment. The chapter also presents an example of how woodland floor environment has been used in action. The contents of a bag of bark chip scattered on the floor is a simple way to enhance the multi-sensory nature of many environments that are created. It adds texture and smell very quickly.
