ABSTRACT

The interactive ethics training exercise is called Charades. Participants divide into teams and pantomime ethical references to their team members, pulled from an Ethical Charades Card deck. Teams get points for correct guesses and additional points for correctly identifying Ethical Codes and Standards corresponding to each title. To extend the training time additional blank cards are provided in the Appendix for teams to create their own titles related to ethics. Other professionals may substitute an applicable Professional Code of Ethics. Distribute copies of the applicable Professional Code of Ethics to each participant. Teams are then allowed 5 minutes to identify and write down specific Ethical Codes that pertain to the title. At the end of the five minutes ask the teams to hand in the written responses listing the specific Professional Code of Ethics, the relevant Ethical Standard, and the corresponding number of the Ethical Standard.
