ABSTRACT

We will approach the problem of groups. You have written several books on this subject. I am not going to cite all of them, but among others you published in 1968 La Dynamique des groupes restreints [The Dynamics of Small Groups], with J.-Y. Martin, a revised and enlarged eighth edition of which was published by the Presses Universitaires de France in 1985. You published with Dunod in collaboration with the other members of your team at C.E.F.F.R.A.P. the two volumes of Travail psychanalytique dans les groupes [Psychoanalytic Work in Groups] (1972 and 1982), and then alone, also with Dunod, Le Groupe et l'inconscient [The Group and the Unconscious] (1975), a work on the theme of the imaginary in groups which has been translated into English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. You have collaborated in a whole series of collective works that have appeared in Dunod's series Inconscient et culture [The Unconscious and Culture] that you co-edit with René Kaës and in which you show your interest in groups. 82And of course you have 'practised' for a long time in groups, with a view either to psychotherapy or the participants' personal formation.
