ABSTRACT
Soma was an attractive young woman who was in her early twenties when she began the exploration of her incest trauma. Soma courageously confronted her childhood incest trauma. Childhood seduction had been theorized to be the province of strangers who seduce children. Soma had begun to open up to childhood trauma and became emotionally connected to the uncovering process of the incest trauma. In the light of Soma’s parents’ denial, the young woman's emotional courage in confronting her childhood incest trauma is an example of the triumph of the human spirit. Without recovering from, or analyzing, her childhood incest trauma, Soma began to have some emotional stirrings about her trauma. Soma was dedicated to confronting the incest trauma and initiating the process of recovery. There were many indications of Soma's emotional courage during the disturbing period: She did not become addicted to alcohol or drugs.
