ABSTRACT
A patient, an obsessional neurotic, in whose illness a suppressed tendency to onanism plays a great part, reacts to sexual excitement with a severe itching of the eyelids, which he tries to mitigate by rubbing. I draw attention to the symbolic identity of eyes and genitals.
