There is a language of violence within the inner world of our clients, as a result of a language of violence used in the world of violence where they grew up. But there is also a language of violence far beyond this narrow sphere, in the public eye, visible and respected. A further step in the world of violence is poisoning language. It isn't a product of individual imagination when a programmed girl lets us know that her rape was called love, and experiencing that was the most wonderful day in her life. For many abused clients language is used to lead to a reversal of reality. In the parallel world they are told that they are nobodies, without rights, unworthy of any respect. The child generally doesn't have suitable words for what is happening to her, because no one has given her the language to name the wrongs done to her.
