ABSTRACT

This chapter invites you into the mindscape and the experiences of a client who endured extreme violence. At the time when she describes herself Nadja isn’t aware of the contents of her dissociated worlds. She experiences herself as separated from the world, as cut off. She suffers, but she can’t recognize what the root of her suffering is. Nadja’s description is therefore from the viewpoint of a system that sees itself from the outside and attempts to describe what is going on inside. Nadja describes what she is able to perceive consciously from the perspective of an outsider.
