ABSTRACT

Whilst Thought Field Therapy and many of its derivatives address primarily the meridian system, it is also possible to work with the energy centres of the chakra system. Knowledge of chakras is a part of ancient traditions, found in Hindu, Buddhist, and other esoteric realms, and discerned intuitively by practices such as yoga. According to the insights of David Tansley, the primary subtle energy enters the centre of each chakra, where these are located in the etheric body. In 2006, Cross draws attention to many correspondences between individual chakras and particular glands, meridians, organs, muscles, emotions, spiritual connotations, and aspects of the central nervous system. Asha Clinton recommends the upward movement through all the chakras from the root to the crown for installing positive qualities. The Seemorg approach allows for many different varieties of reversal to be muscle tested, based in the extensive matrices of dysfunctional cognitions.
