ABSTRACT
The group wanted to celebrate its ending. Howard invited us to his house for a barbecue. I questioned the attack on the group boundaries but that just created a group joke that they would barbecue me. My supervision group thought that was positive as it signified the wish to internalize me. Others wanted to go to the pub, and I wondered whether that was an attack on the group room. They laughed, but played with the idea, ending by paying tribute to it. They acknowledged how much good and painful work had been contained in that room and how important it was for the room to be part of the ending. The idea of going to the pub was dumped.
