ABSTRACT

This clinical paper on the theory of technique explores the use of inspiration in the psychoanalytic method and was written as a further development of the hook on The Psycho-analytical Process (1967a) . Like many of the author's papers on technique, this is a frank exposition of clinical work by the author, which provocatively deals with issues of countertransference, thinking, acting out, the function of the interpretative activity in analysis, and wild analysis.
