ABSTRACT

The Grail legends bring together three basic themes: liberty, the quest, and the recovery of the primordial times from the golden age. The greatest of all liberties demanded by the grail is to recover the feminine in her wholeness, enabling men and women to be both masculine and feminine. Knowing one’s feminine and masculine sides, when a woman, means becoming uniquely whole, intrinsically different from all other human beings and at the same time similar to ones peers. The question contained in the tales of the grail talks of the quest and presents all of the different ways to acquire knowledge, whether through science, travel, looking for new paths on earth or in space, searching for new worlds in the macro and microcosm. The search is evident in the field developed by psychological knowledge, in its different ways of understanding the psyche.
