ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book discusses Psychotherapists in patient assessments who always considers the issue of developmental lags and studies the discrepancies between a patient's developmental age vs chronological age. Child-labor laws kept children under 16 out of the work force, and universal education laws kept them in secondary school, thus prolonging the period of dependence among them the need to properly sublimate sexuality which was taken as natural verisimilitude. MacArthur Foundation researchers quoted that the interval between adolescence and adulthood is formally labelled as the pre-adult period. Transformation refers to affectively organised states of intersubjective relatedness, that shape the ensuing attachment process and facilitate differentiation. The existence of the transformational self is inferred by the organisation of a set of processes understood as reconfigured self-representations reinforced through long term potentiation that significantly contribute to reshaping one’s personality.
