ABSTRACT
There are many different answers to the questions presented in this chapter. The most useful one is that we often have no idea how to change the dangerous course of events that all too often end up damaging the love and tearing the relationship apart. If repairing a relationship were as easy as repairing the damage to our roof but we simply have no idea how to patch up our relationship. It is possible to find our way out of the wreck of a capsized relationship. We can free ourselves from the old habits and survival strategies which threaten to destroy many relationships. Perhaps readers feel that their problems are unique and unsolvable or that there is no hope for a relationship that, for many years, has been a wasteland. The chapter explains some of the challenges the couple will encounter, from the first infatuation through to the power struggles that no relationship escapes.
