ABSTRACT

Stage 9 consists of regularly reviewing the SubStrategies and their implementation and performance management to check that they are effective and if necessary updating them. If done rapidly and repeatedly, this iterative process can in many circumstances correlate with ‘Agile’ development. Although Stage 9 could reasonably be perceived as the final stage in a 9-stage process, the 9 stages are better thought of as a set of significant actions that constantly inform each other on a continuous cycle. This chapter discusses what Stage 9 will achieve in order to support the other eight stages. It presents a summary and explanation of the start-to-finish action sequence for Stage 9. The chapter demonstrates Stage 9 actions by reviewing the hypothetical operational-level Pingo River sub-SubStrategy. It also provides information on the accountabilities in Stage 9.
