ABSTRACT

This chapter summarises the author's earlier book: Validating Strategies – Linking Projects and Results to Uses and Benefits. PRUB-Logic focuses primarily on actions (Projects and Uses) and the consequences of those actions (Results and Benefits). The secondary focus of PRUB-Logic is on who does the actions. PRUB-Logic applies irrespective of who the actors are. A PRUB-Logic sequence generally consists of one or more Projects generating one or more Results enabling and motivating one or more Uses to create one or more Benefits. Such a PRUB-Logic sequence is a ‘SubStrategy’. The chapter outlines the nine stages in the OpenStrategies sequence based on PRUB-Logic. SubStrategies based on PRUB-Logic recognise, accept and work within typical human cognitive limits. Strategic actions/business cases/contracts are easier to integrate when they all use the same PRUB-Logic.
