ABSTRACT

The biometric templates which are stored in the databases for the purposes of physical access entry could also then be transmitted to other biometric modalities which deal with the logical access entry and the time and attendance needs. The examples merely highlight some of the technical issues which could very well be faced by the corporation or business as they deploy their particular biometric technology. Of course, each technical issue and how they will be respectively solved will be unique and obviously quite different from business to business. There are issues which will be faced for any business leader from two sides of the spectrum: the technical side and the social implications perspective. This spectrum goes all the way from the technical implications of deployment and implementation to the social impacts affecting the everyday user of the various biometric modalities.
