ABSTRACT

One assessment instrument that has been proven successful among researchers is the Corporate Entrepreneurial Assessment Instrument (CEAI) developed by Donald F. Kuratko at Indiana University and Jeffrey S. Hornsby at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The CEAI was developed to partially replicate and disentangle previously reported findings. Completing the CEAI is an excellent diagnostic tool used to assess, evaluate, and manage the firm’s internal work environment in ways that support innovative behavior. The CEAI can be used as an assessment tool for evaluating corporate training needs in entrepreneurship and innovation. A corporate innovation strategy is successfully implemented only when all affected individuals are committed to it. A review of managerial and organizational behavior concepts, definitions of corporate innovation and a corporate innovation strategy, examination of the innovation in established companies, and a review of several innovative cases.
