Teaching; it’s a profession that can become a lifestyle. It can take over every hour of your day if you let it. It can break the most determined people. On the other hand, it can build up the most introverted, self-conscious individuals, and it can open doors to experiences you wouldn’t get with any other profession. It’s hard, challenging and a complete rollercoaster at times, but it’s also rewarding, fulfilling and everyday diverse. This chapter closes on the author’s experiences with mental health, the internal struggle to stay or leave teaching and the road to recovery. The author has fallen in love with teaching thanks to the right school, leaving teachers with hope that leaving teaching isn’t the only option if you want to see change in the system.
