ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book presents the understanding of the limits and capabilities of counter-terrorist financing (CTF) measures on countering terrorism threats. It describes numerous indicators for determining whether there is an effective and successful CTF system in Turkey and what kinds of challenges and obstacles Turkey has encountered since the inception of its CTF practice. The book analyzes the genesis of counter terrorist financing at the national and international levels and Turkey’s CTF system so as to understand the quality of pre-2013 CTF efforts, in light of the perceptions and opinions among CTF practitioners and experts. It examines the birth and transformation of the Turkish CTF system and its national interactions within the current national factors and against international efforts and counter terrorist financing systems.
