ABSTRACT

Chapter 4 illustrates the relevance of looking for more resilient structures, more capable of enhancing the viability and sustainability of organisations, before and during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. It provides examples from the individual to businesses and regional levels on how the v&s approach can support us developing effective strategies to adapt to unexpected and new situations. It provides different v&s analyses of health organisations in the National Health Service in England, before and during the pandemic, and reflects on their learning about possible ways to improve resilience, resulting from VSM analyses.
