ABSTRACT
Yunsha's name is an unusual one in China. It means "fir tree. " Her poet father gave this name to her because the forest was his spirit and the fir tree is symbolic ofa strong, straight life force. She is the kind of woman who attracts the attention of men without trying. Although she works hard to avoid such attention, her actions are mostly in vain.
