ABSTRACT
Whenever one engages in battle with an enemy, if the enemy is numerous while you are few, the terrain is not advantageous, and you lack the strength to engage in battle, you should quickly retreat in order to avoid them and thereby preserve your army intact. A tactical principle states: "When one perceives difficulty he should retreat."
