ABSTRACT

Geography is a core discipline of international studies. "Geography is the study of where natural environments and human activities are found on Earth's surface and the reasons for their location" Modern geography as a science developed through the twentieth century. The history of geography points to three main components of a geographical way of thinking: space, region and environment. International boundaries and national jurisdiction entail an organization of space. International studies involves an understanding of the environment. Space, region, and environment are key components to understanding geography in international studies. Mountains and hills covered with forests enclose the city. The Robinson projection preserves many spatial relationships, particularly in the middle to low latitudes. The theme of thematic map is the population growth rate of various countries in 2016. A map of the world showing states (political territories) evokes a different perception than a map of the world showing rivers.
