ABSTRACT
All records of the Hau Nghia advisory team and all CORDS documents employed can be found at the Current History Branch, US Army Center of Military History (CMH), Washington, D.C. The records of the 25th Infantry Division and II Field Force are available at the Washington National Records Center, Suitland, Maryland. The interviews of Front defectors recorded during the war by Rand Corporation and others can be found at the Indochina Archive, Institute for Southeast Asian Studies, University of California, and Berkeley. Oliver Davidson, a young CORDS field-worker during the war with long experience in Hau Nghia province, was kind enough to allow me to copy a large number of his reports and notes from this period; these are referred to in the notes as "Davidson Papers".
