ABSTRACT
We examine the connection between the mathematical
structure of the RG and features of critical phenomena.
Critical exponents are related to the transformation p rop -
erties under R g of points near a fixed point. If a certain
simplicity in these properties is assumed, the corre la tion
length ζ and assertions of the scaling hypothesis fo llow .
