Approximately 63% of Memphis' population identifies as Black, while nearly 2% of the population identifies as Asian. Mr. Ching described specific strategies he used to succeed in his role, including building relationships with Memphis' Black community. He also shared impactful thoughts about mentoring and why he believes it does not happen as much as it should in Arts Management. Lastly, he discussed his racial identity with thought-provoking humor, specifically how he used stereotypes of Asian people to his advantage in his career.
