ABSTRACT
Elemental questions of what and who, how, why, and where are used to structure both a synthesis of insights in previous chapters and a discussion of future research questions that arise. As a result, this chapter digs deeper than a simple review of the book. Despite some opinions that co-leadership is of little consequence and only warrants passing attention, the substantial list of significant concerns yet to be investigated should reverse that point of view. Future research on co-leadership or any leadership in the arts promises rich, strategic, and intriguing opportunities when viewed through a global perspective and different epistemological lenses. Ending with comments on research methods deployed, the discussion highlights the room available for other approaches that extend insights into the phenomenon of co-leadership.
