ABSTRACT

Music study develops skills that are necessary in the workplace. It focuses on “doing,” as opposed to observing, and teaches students how to perform, literally, anywhere in the world. In the music classroom, students can also learn to communicate and cooperate better with one another. Music study enhances teamwork skills and discipline. Music performance teaches young people to conquer fear and to take risks. One of the most important components in teaching music to students is to help them become performers of music. Using Rhythmic Charts helps primary students learn to read music, and also to read words. Mirroring is fun for students. Students face a partner and decide which of the two will be the leader.
