ABSTRACT

Lesson Overview: In this lesson, students will draw on their previous experience to incorporate aspects of the four previous practices into a more fluid, open awareness practice. Now that students are comfortable with sitting for a few minutes, bringing awareness to different sensations or ideas in the present moment, they are ready to expand the focus of their attention. Open Awareness is just that—open. We can be receptive to whatever is occurring in the present moment (e.g., sounds, thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations).
