Students can use programs like Photoshop, Pixelmator, or the open source GIMP to size these. However, there are plenty of specialist programs such as Adobe Spark Post, Canva, or BeFunky that allow students to create striking images for inclusion on Twitter feed. Basically, students need to balance the costs of touring with the income they will receive. Costs include travel, food, salaries, emergencies. Income comprises the money from gigs and merchandise. Tour income can range from known and fixed incomes to big fat unknowns depending on the contract students establish with venues.
