ABSTRACT
Objectivity! the sneak preview demands it in its purest form. Even the term implies it. Why "sneak?" To minimize the pos sibility of an "in" audience-a studio claque. At its best the sneak can provide valuable insights into the film's relative values,- at its worst, it can be a trap of self-centered deceit. The trap is set at the very beginning, with the selection of a theater and its audience.
