ABSTRACT

An important benefit of using content management software is the ability to add new features to a prototype without having to code, and to change your prototype as the business concept evolves. Chapter 7 shows how to choose, install, and configure a wide range of additional features on the WordPress platform through the use of plugins. Examples of plugins include front-end plugins that customers interact with, such as a contact form; back-end plugins that work behind the scenes, such as an analytics plugin that tracks user behavior; and integration plugins that connect to other internet services, such as a social media button or a Google map. This chapter also discusses how to create basic prototypes for common types of digital business ideas using popular plugins.
