ABSTRACT

Sometimes choosing colors for one’s interior environment is an insufferable, confusing task for clients. There are many characteristics of color and it is hard to know what will work. There are numerous lighting variables; psychological, social, and cultural effects and preferences; ways that colors can be combined or placed next to each other to get different effects; interpretations of color weight, movement and temperature; and individual preferences vs. trends and styles. And to add to that, there are a gazillion colors to choose from, let alone the altered appearance of color in textures, patterns and metallic materials. Clients can be confused and frustrated when working alone. You can be a great help to clients in choosing colors.
